Join CGE, SEIU, and the new UAOSU for a brainstorming/event planning session August 27th at WestM!

We have another event in the works to get workers from all three unions at OSU together for relationship and solidarity building! For those unfamiliar, there are three unions at OSU: CGE, which is made up of grad employees (that’s us!); SEIU, which represents the classified staff on campus; and the newly formed faculty union, UAOSU.

Representatives from the three unions had an initial meeting last week to determine if planning a tri-union event is feasible this year. We all agreed it is a good plan and threw around ideas for the time of year/type of event. We have tentatively agreed to hold the event sometime between mid-October to early November 2018 and for the event to be a social gathering.

We considered incorporating line-dancing, t-shirt screen printing, a dessert making competition, and arts and crafts into a family friendly gathering. Do you have more ideas??
