AFT-OR Annual Convention Summary:

Each year, CGE sends a number of delegates to participate in the AFT-OR Annual Convention.  As per the AFT constitution, the convention is the highest governing body of AFT-OR.  Here, resolutions and changes to the constitution are passed and the AFT-OR leadership is elected.

CGE has a long tradition of sending many delegates to Convention.  We pride ourselves in being deeply committed the the democratic functioning of our parent union, and are deeply committed to being an active contingent of convention.

Delegate nominations for the 2013 convention will be accepted on the floor of the Jan. 30th General Membership Meeting beginning at 5:30 PM at the Corvallis Senior Center (corner of 27th and Tyler).  Delegate nominations can also be accepted via writing, sent to The Coalition of Graduate Employees at 101 NW 23rd St, Corvallis, OR 97330 or via email to treasurer@cge6069.org.
