We have heard your comments regarding the use of the social list for community connections. Though we feel that this list is effective at safely connecting people for housing opportunities and ride shares we recognize that important events are being missed because of the clutter of emails. For this reason we have launched a new feature on our website for connecting with your grad community. Ride shares and housing offers will now be hosted on the website. You can opt in to get regular notifications by email or simply post your offering on the CGE website. Check out the CGE website at cge6069.org and look at the ‘CONNECT’ dropdown menu!
CGE Social Hour (happy hour) has changed times and days from past terms. It is still at Bombs Away Cafe, but, to incorporate a wider array of grad schedules, we changed to it a “‘5s at 5” plan: 5PM-7PM, every day of the month which ends in 5 (5th, 15th, 25th). Since Bombs Away’s happy hour prices end at 5 PM, a CGE Social Committee member will always arrive early to each Social Hour, around 4:45PM, for anyone who wants to order food at happy hour prices. Look for the table with the CGE sign!
