I was able to listen to part of the hearing today using the online streaming. You guys did wonderful. Your messages were clear, and the committee members seemed to be sincerely interested. Thanks for taking the time to go talk for the entire union.

I don’t normally leave comments on here, since I work for CGE, but I feel compelled to chime in on this one. I agree with Jay: The grads who testified were very impressive.

Also, I think you succeeded in making the committee aware of the urgency of the problem of fees. We can’t ask for more than that, especially given the economic climate.

I just wanted to say that having listened to the excellent HB2508 testimonies by OSU (and UO) graduate students, I think you did a terrific job and most certainly have made an important difference in the minds of the House committee. I am proud of each of you and am thankful for your hard work on our behalf!

As Committee Chair Rep. Gelser said herself, “you were very impressive!”
